Sports put me in order. It is the most pleasurable memory of the childhood. It is an asset of life. If you ask any child whether he or she wants to study in the class or playing in the ground, No need to guess, the answer will be second only, playing in the ground!

The Great Hindu philosopher, monk, icon of Youngsters, Swami Vivekananda said, that If you ask me about true religion, I would prefer a child playing football in the ground rather than chanting Slokas in a temple. This is proved 200 percent truth in the past, at present and will be in the future in every corner of the world.

If you ask anyone about his favorite subject and what did he study in the school, it would be difficult to recollect but If you ask about the game he played, he will describe every inch of the game! In India, sports are the religion of children. As people grow with age, people don’t accept it as religion and consider it as a waste of time. But if they look back, they would find that what they were yesterday, these students are today. It’s a mirror image. They also longed for sports period eagerly everyday.

It is said that “padhoge likho ge to bano ge Nawab, Kheloge kudo ge to hoge kangal.” The time has changed and the sportsmen are minting money in crores!

The lesson and experience attained in sports becomes an asset for the students which reflects in their personality, discipline, ethics, and over all out put in the life.

I believe, “Who wins once in games, winning becomes the habit of winners.” So, let’s inspire the kids to play and let them explore their potential. Doug Williams said, “Never give up, never give in, and when the upper hand is ours, may we have the ability to handle the win with the dignity that we absorbed the loss.” In fact we can see that sport can generate better species and intelligent human being for the next generation!
